It
All rings listed are mostly fakes. Many bulk goods from Bulgaria, often sold as replicas. Direct purchase of many fakes by the Serbs. Resale with a big profit on it.

I am amused by the absolutely modern ring with the skulls. It was sold as a Greek "Hades" ring 300-500 BC. Which idiot falls for such a thing?

chris

this very important article was copied into this topic, because the fake seller ancientground was listed twice by mistake.

This shyster has gone up on his prices! The fakes he used to sell came with a free COA reading something like  "This finger ring is guaranteed to be an authentic artifact previously owned by the Grand High Exalted Hierophant of the Mystic Temple on the Lost Continent of Atlantis", or words to that effect.
I guess inflation has driven up costs a bit ...........................

"We can also provide certificates on any of our items but buyer must pay the cost of 250 pounds if want to have certificate"

I would love to see a CoA created for one of the fakes pictured. And above all, which expert is so criminal that he issues a certificate of authenticity for known counterfeits.

The middle ring of our first picture has been on the market for about 10 years and has been sold dozens of times as Templar, Crusader, Roman, Christian and so on. Even the honest replica sellers sold it.

No laws being broken unfortunately. No stupidity tests mandated for buyers, either. The category clearly states "all other collectibles" or whatever jargon their Legal Dept. advised to circumvent charges of aiding & abetting criminality

Do prospective victims of online malfeasance even seriously study & factor in such writeups before they vanish? Even if they sometimes do, temporary, isolated negative feedback likely gets lost in the sauce between the glowing remarks gratuitously conjured up by crook's circle of compadres. Could be wrong but the only reason Sadigh Gallery eventually got snagged was due to his brick & mortar outfit, not ebay thievery
