Next fraud........................

really busy the Serbian fake workshop. After all, the Serbs offer 10-15 silver rings / week with their many IDs on ebay. Added the spiced up bronze rings and other artefacts. In between, some real things. Not half bad. The seemingly uncritical ebay bargain hunters fill their pockets.

chris

a copied Medieval Ring (likely Tudor period) sold as Roman.

Let us state the obvious difference between a copy and a fake on the market – when a buyer knows an object is a copy – it is a copy, when resold as an authentic object – it is a fake.

Pls. read the thread regarding shill bidding within the Serb group  http://ancientartifakes.net/smf/index.php/topic,1215.0.html

chris

draw your own conclusions, why few bidders and many bids. The Bid histories of two rings attached

chris

the "Trident" fake relisted within 2 days. I guess shill bidding went wrong

GROUNDHOG DAY and no end in sight

chris

14 days fake selling by the Serbian group.

Number of fakes                                   48
of which                                               46 rings
the spiced up bronze rings are not included

recorded Dec., 19, 2017

It seems that nobody sees the similarity of the rings

chris

uniques77777 with its total of 3 branches (IDs) on ebay seems to be outrunning the Yugoslav gang.

The fake collectors prefer bulks of crude and badly crafted fakes.

chris

Referring to the amount of weekly fakes, the Bulgarian forgers have overtaken the Serbian counterfeiting workshop.
A boundless competition has begun. On the track remain the betrayed fake collectors

chris

quote....
"Rule 1: if it looks like it was made yesterday, then it probably was. Rule 2: If you have to suspend all logic and rationality in your analysis of the item to believe the item is authentic , then it is a fake. Rule 3: If it looks too good to be true, then it is in all likelihood a fake."

chris

The Serbian forger mafia now also relies on quantity. The Bulgarians - here especially uniques77777- list so many fakes that sales can only be achieved by increasing the quantity.

chris

The Serbian group (6 gang members) now sells 4-5 silver ring fakes per member. Total of 20 to 26 fakes per week.
From now on I will leave the pictures uncommented. The crowd forces a quick and efficient show-off. By now, the attentive observers may well be able to identify the fakes as such.

chris

all from the same counterfeiting workshop

chris

compare the rings from the Serb group.............all from the same fake workshop
