Hi y'all,
I recently took a gamble and ordered this off eBay. Listed as a La Tène I fibula from the Black Sea area, it's small - just over 2", has a good weight, and is not magnetic. The peculiar black patina with a subtle green tint, along with the smooth condition of the spring coil, are giving me some doubts, though. The seller has ignored my messages about provenance. I have a hard time imagining someone going through the trouble of making a small fake like this, but I've been surprised before.

What are your thoughts?
