Oh, I have some old screenshots of fake scarabs sold by Mr Pederson.
In fact I think that combo of saved images must have come from me years ago!
I was in some email exchanges with him a while back: he is seriously deluded about how much he knows!
He really seems to think he is an  expert whereas he actually knows very little!

Cannot speak to numismatics but quick look-see through Roman & Medieval artifacts reveals metal detecting miscellany with wild and crazy attributions and pricing. That $40.00 "Silver-gilt Medieval seal ring with initial circa 14th century AD" for ten times as much really takes the cake. 

At this moment, David Jenner (from Eastbourne, United Kingdom) has nearly 900 active listings in his store. According to his profile he has sold over 2,200 items since 2014.

I don't know if he or someone like him had previously been reported as a fake seller using a similar name (through_the_ages_antiquities), but here's his shop listing for those who want to comment on the authenticity of his offerings:

To me, it seems rather remarkable he'd have so many items for very little money.

I would like to recommend two books by a collector friend. The author T.N. Pollio is a researcher and historian who lives in East Haven, Connecticut.

Both books, (and I recommend buying both!) will inform you about these types of rings which are generally ignored in books and academic articles where  rings made in gold and silver are given priority.

Thew crusades were between 1095 and 1291.
So two of these rings were well before then and one well afer!
Sellers (many on eBay) mention "Crusades " to encourage people to buy.
